Echo of the Underground
In Moscow, at the Stanislavsky Electrotheater, the one on Tverskaya Street, on March 18, Andrei Bezukladnikov’s exhibition “Echo of the Underground” opened. What else can I say... this, in my opinion, is wonderful.
Andrey Bezukladnikov - founder and author of the resource photographer.ru - this is what he himself wrote in the invitation to the vernissage:
“This exhibition is part of Boris Yukhananov’s large-scale project “Three walks along a route towards a new processuality,” in which I take part. The first “walk” is entirely dedicated to the legendary underground movement of the late 80s – early 90s, the spirit of that bright and rebellious time.
At the exhibition you will see my portraits of key figures of that era: Timur Novikov, Pyotr Mamonov, Zhanna Aguzarova, Vyacheslav Drozhashchikh, Andrei Bitov, Vladimir Sorokin and many other extraordinary personalities whose work became a cultural phenomenon.
Boris Yukhananov says:
“I open the first walk, it is entirely focused on the history of that very underground, in which the breath of Ouroboros is obviously heard, and the snake bites its tail on the third walk, and now it comes to life.
Here are portraits created by Andrey. He is a master of Ouroboros control.
Look how beautiful his craftsmanship is. Walk among the portraits of that time, choosing any route, looking at these portraits as you should on a walk. You will always see what you are supposed to see. And I’m happy that the Electrotheater can give you such free access to your gaze.”
Join this immersion in an incredible atmosphere of freedom, protest and unbridled creativity!”
